Opaline Hotel + Lounge
Course: Advanced Interior Design & Professional Practice
Media: Revit, 3DS Max, Mattoboard, Canva
Project Outline: Use architecture designed by a senior architecture student to problem solve and space plan a hotel lobby and bar; as well as a floor plate for hotel rooms. Select finishes that are cohesive with the building design and reflect the desired style of the space.
Project Size: 14,024 sq ft
The mood board and materials are directly reflected in the space and I learned new tools on Revit to build some of the architectural features seen in the moodboard.
My task was to design the hotel entrance and lobby, separate from the rest of the ground level. The space is grand and offers guests a variety of seating to communicate an immediate comfortability they can have with the hotel.
Level 34: This hotel floor plate demonstrates the unique challenges and solutions when designing an ovular space. I opted for straight walls for functionality and avoided placing main furniture against windows as they are built at an angle.
Included for additional context; however, fully designed by my assigned architecture partner.
